Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has made a strong statement on Virat Kohli's retirement from Test cricket. Speaking on a YouTube channel, Jaffer gave his opinion on the decision. His remarks are feared to set off a fresh controversy.

Kohli is called the "run machine" in Indian cricket. Fans have long believed that the Indian team's win is considered certain when he is on the field. Last year, both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retired from Test cricket. Kohli's decision came suddenly and left fans stunned. India were due to play a five-Test series against England, and Kohli announced his retirement just before it.

Kohli is reported to have decided to quit Test cricket because of grievances related to the BCCI and the selection committee. Questioning the national selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar, Jaffer said a great player like Kohli was not treated properly.

According to Jaffer, a big player like Kohli should have received more respect. He said Kohli is not just a brilliant batter, but has the power to draw cricket fans around the world to the ground. Jaffer said Kohli must have been upset to some extent by the way he was treated. He said a great deal of wrong was done to him. Jaffer also said that the picture will not become clear until Virat Kohli himself speaks about it.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, former captain and veteran batter of the Indian team, will be seen in the one-day series against the West Indies. The series is due to begin on September 27. Kohli will take the field for the first time since the England tour.

Before the series begins, Kohli has also made a big statement about next year's ODI World Cup. Kohli has said he will give his all to win the World Cup.
