Italian premium two-wheeler maker Italjet is preparing to enter India. The company will unveil three models, the Dragster 300, Dragster 459 and Dragster 700, at India Bike Week 2026 on December 4 and 5. All three will be assembled in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and customer deliveries are planned to begin between April and June 2027.
The vehicles will be assembled at the Kolhapur manufacturing facility of Italjet's Indian partner, Motohaus. The design and engineering were done in Italy, and assembly and quality checks will be carried out locally accordingly. A waiting list for Indian customers will open in December 2026. Italjet plans to open retail centres initially in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad.
The Dragster 700 will be the top model of the three. It has a 698 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 68 hp at 8,000 rpm and 67 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Features include adjustable Marzocchi suspension, dual front disc brakes from Brembo, ABS, traction control and a colour TFT display. It also has a 16-litre fuel tank and a twin-exit exhaust from Akrapovic.
The Dragster 300 has a 278 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 23.8 hp and 26 Nm of torque. It gets a CVT transmission, an automatic clutch, ABS, a TFT display and LED lighting. This scooter weighs 128 kg without fuel and has a seat height of 770 mm.
The Dragster 459 has a 449 cc parallel-twin engine that produces 46.9 hp and 41 Nm of torque. Its 6-speed transmission also offers an automatic mode and the option of paddle controls on the handlebar. It also has adjustable Marzocchi suspension, Brembo brakes, ABS and traction control.
All three models have also been shown in Italy at EICMA 2026. Prices in India have not yet been announced. Two-wheeler enthusiasts will therefore be watching Italjet's showing at India Bike Week and the waiting list that opens in December.
