Five people were arrested in connection with a case linked to RAF Fairford airbase in Gloucestershire, Britain, after which Iran's name surfaced, but the Iranian embassy in London has completely denied the claim. The embassy said such allegations are nothing but "fabricated arguments" and that they fuel an anti-Iran atmosphere in Britain.

The incident has come to light at a time when Iran, the United States and Israel traded sharp attacks on each other at the United Nations General Assembly session, and a seven-day peace proposal put forward by Iran had also been rejected. Amid the already tense atmosphere between Iran and the US, this incident in Britain has added fuel to the fire. However, while those arrested so far are being said to be linked to Iran, this has not yet been firmly confirmed.

RAF Fairford is considered an important military base in Britain, where various international military activities and exercises take place. Discussion began over whether the five people arrested there had any connection to Iran soon after the arrests. An investigation into those arrested is still ongoing and various speculations were being made about them. But before any official outcome of the investigation emerged, once the case began to be linked to Iran, Tehran responded.

In its statement, the embassy said that guesses and speculation made without any solid evidence could work to build an atmosphere against Iran in Britain. Iran denied any connection to the entire case, calling the allegations "fabricated arguments". The embassy also said that British media and the agencies concerned should pay attention to the available evidence and the findings of the investigation before drawing any conclusions.

The entire case has come to light at a time when relations between Britain and Iran are already under strain. Diplomatic tension between the two countries has increased in recent times over allegations related to security, espionage and military activities linked to Iran. In such an atmosphere, Iran's alleged name coming up after a security incident in Britain becomes a sensitive issue. However, a direct link between the five arrests at Fairford and Iran has not yet been firmly established. Until official information from the investigation emerges, claims related to this case should be viewed with caution.
