iPhone 17 is India's best-selling smartphone this year despite premium price

Apple's iPhone 17 has taken the top spot in the list of the best-selling smartphones in India this year.

The phone starts at Rs 82,900, which places it in the premium range. Even so, buyers have purchased it in large numbers, and it has outsold every other smartphone.

The iPhone 17 has recorded a market share of more than 4 per cent. Notably, the other phones on the list were budget-friendly models. The Oppo A6x 5G and Vivo models also figure high on the list, but the iPhone 17 moved ahead of all of them.

Most people give priority to budget when buying a phone. At times, however, needs and preferences outweigh budget, and a buyer picks a dream phone. Something similar has happened with the iPhone 17, and its popularity is growing by the day.

It is not only the iPhone 17. Demand for the iPhone 16 also continues. Though it is an older model, buyers still favour it. This shows that some people choose the newer model, while others buy the older one to suit their budget.

The first and main reason for the iPhone 17's popularity is that it is the latest and the most affordable iPhone in its series. The Pro and Pro Max models in the series cost more. Buying the phone through EMI and exchange offers can bring added benefit, and customers may also be given an extra discount for paying by bank card.

The second reason is that anyone who owns a Mac, an Apple Watch or AirPods can connect this iPhone to those devices with ease. The camera and software updates are also making people prefer the iPhone 17.

For users who want a new camera, a smooth screen and an iPhone to use with Apple devices, the iPhone 17 is a good option.
