India and Pakistan to meet on November 8 in Under-19 Asia Cup in Oman

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has released the schedule for the upcoming men's Under-19 Asia Cup 2026. The tournament will be played in Oman from November 5 to 14. Matches during the nine-day event will be held at two different venues in Oman.

Eight countries, including India and Pakistan, are taking part. India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group for the group stage, so the two teams are likely to meet more than once in the tournament.

The much-awaited India-Pakistan match will be played on November 8, with the two teams facing each other at OCA Ground 1 in Oman. The match will be crucial for both teams in Group A.

India and Pakistan Under-19 teams also met in the final of the tournament last year. In that final, played at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai in December 2025, Pakistan's Under-19 side, led by Farhan Yousaf, beat India by 191 runs. With that win, Pakistan lifted the Asia Cup title for the second time. Pakistan will now defend their title as the reigning champions. Another exciting contest is expected between the two sides this time as well.

On the format, the eight teams have been divided into two groups of four. Group A has the UAE and Nepal along with India and Pakistan. Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Malaysia.

A total of 12 matches will be played in the group stage. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. Both semi-finals will be played on November 12, and the final on November 14.

All 15 matches of the tournament will start at 10:30 am Indian time. According to the schedule, all matches except the final will be played over two days. As in the 2025 tournament in the UAE, the matches will be in the 50-over format.
