Honda launches XR300L and XR300 Rally off-road bikes in India, priced from Rs 1.83 lakh
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced prices for two new motorcycles aimed at off-road enthusiasts, the Honda XR300L and the Honda XR300 Rally. The company has also opened bookings for both models, expanding its portfolio in the Indian two-wheeler market. Both bikes were part of the 10-model line-up Honda showed in July 2026.
Both bikes are powered by a 293.5cc air and oil-cooled engine, based on the engine of the Honda CB300F, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is claimed to produce 24.3hp of power and 26.5Nm of torque.
The ex-showroom price of the Honda XR300L in India is Rs 1.83 lakh. The better-equipped Honda XR300 Rally is priced at Rs 2.08 lakh ex-showroom, which means buyers of the Rally will pay about Rs 25,000 more than for the XR300L. Honda has launched both bikes with customers in mind who want to combine adventure touring with off-road riding.
Both motorcycles have telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. For off-road use, they run 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels.
The XR300 Rally is presented in a more adventure and rally-styled form. It gets a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, knuckle guards, rally-inspired bodywork, a larger fuel tank and a taller windscreen.
The two models share several features. These include the 293.5cc air-cooled engine with an oil cooler, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), gas-charged Pro-Link rear suspension, and disc brakes at the front and rear with switchable dual-channel ABS. The XR300 Rally has one additional feature, a smartphone connectivity system called "Honda RoadSync".
The XR300L is described as a "light, agile and unstoppable" bike, a model for those who love the thrill of the trail. It is said to handle mud, gravel, sand and rock, and to be easy to use in everyday city riding as well. It is presented as the "first step to real adventure". The XR300 Rally is described as a model "born from Honda's Dakar Rally-winning DNA", with comfortable touring, wind protection and styling reminiscent of a rally bike.
