The ad film follows a Shimla couple who visit their son's Mumbai flat and find that home is made by the people around us, not by a place.

Home Credit India has launched a new Diwali campaign, #ApnoKeSaathDiwali. The advertisement can now be viewed on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn. The campaign's central idea is "Ghar wahan, gharwale jahan" (home is where your family is), meaning that home is not just four walls but a feeling of belonging to one's own people.

The story is about growing up, moving away from home and still finding new ways to stay connected. Manish is a young professional whose real home is in Shimla but who has settled in Mumbai. Because of work pressure, he cannot go home for Diwali. He then asks his parents, "Why don't you come here?"

The parents worked for years so that their son would always feel at home. For them, stepping into his own home is a new experience. To them it is their son's house, built from a life in which they were not a daily part. When the father sees the home appliances the son has bought, Manish tells him they are the fruit of his own hard work. For the rest, he got help with Home Credit's support, so that his savings stayed safe. Hearing this, the parents are filled with pride. The father realises that the son he once worried about is now fully capable of looking after himself.

The happiest moment comes when neighbours and friends start dropping in. They welcome the parents warmly and share memories and stories about the son. Slowly, even the flat that seemed unfamiliar begins to feel like home.

The emotional core of the film lies in this role reversal. The parents who once created a sense of belonging for their son now feel the same in the home he has built. As the evening lights up with laughter, banter, gossip and Diwali rituals, the family realises that home is not tied to a particular place or to old memories. Wherever life takes people, what they build for one another is the real home.

Through this story, Home Credit India links the emotional significance of Diwali to the everyday aspirations of modern Indian families. The film does not treat these new comforts of life as merely material things. It presents them as small earnings that make a self-reliant life easier and help people build their lives while staying connected to the relationships that matter.

Ashish Tiwari, Chief Marketing and People Officer, Home Credit India, said of the campaign: "As children grow up and build their lives, the relationship with their parents also changes gently. Through this advertisement, we wanted to show this beautiful role reversal, where parents step into the world their children have built and are amazed to see their progress. It is a reminder that life takes us in new directions, yet the values and relationships we grew up with keep deciding what we become."

Tiwari added: "Through #ApnoKeSaathDiwali, we have presented the emotional essence of our #ZindagiHit thinking, where our loved ones are with us at every step and Home Credit stands with them in support of them. By making improvements in everyday needs easy, it helps turn future aspirations into today's reality. The campaign celebrates the balance between embracing a new beginning and staying firmly connected to the most important relationships. It also strengthens Home Credit's commitment to helping customers fulfil their aspirations and build a better future for themselves and their families."

The film ends with a voiceover that reiterates the brand's commitment to stand firmly with customers at every stage, reduce distances, make life's conveniences easier and help bring future aspirations closer to today.
