A sensational case has surfaced in Hingna in Nagpur district. It is alleged that a woman was murdered in Chandrapur and her body buried in the accused's own empty house in Hingna. Police have arrested teacher Santosh Sakharkar in the case. The deceased has been identified as Vaishali Vilas Tipale.

According to the information available, both were residents of Chandrapur city and were in an illicit relationship. They quarrelled on October 14. It is alleged that in this quarrel Santosh struck Vaishali hard on the chest with a heavy object, and she died.

As per the allegation, the body was then kept in the boot of a car for a day. On October 15 it was brought to the house in the Adhaarnagari area of Hingna. A pit was dug in a room, the body was buried and a floor was laid over it. It is said this was done in an attempt to destroy evidence.

Meanwhile, Chandrapur police began an investigation after receiving a complaint that Vaishali was missing. During the probe, police went through the call detail records (CDR) of Vaishali's three mobile phones and, on that basis, took Santosh into custody. After questioning, he confessed to the crime.

Chandrapur police, with the help of Hingna police, then took the body out at 1.30 am on Saturday in the presence of panch witnesses. Further action followed and the accused was arrested. Police are now investigating the case further. The incident has caused a major stir in the area.

In another incident in Nagpur district, three young men returning after worshipping at a goddess shrine died. The accident took place around 12 am on Sunday in the Kalkuhi area under Kondhali police station limits. The three were returning from darshan at Katol. A Cruiser carrying devotees from Kondhali towards Katol for darshan of the goddess hit their motorcycle head-on. The impact was so severe that all three died on the spot.

The deceased are Deepanshu Damodar Chaphle (25), Roshan Maroti Chaphle (25) and Lokesh Jagdish Barange (25). All three were residents of Vikasnagar in Kondhali.
