Gondpipri youth workers seek revised ST bus timings for Dongargaon students
Students of Dongargaon who travel to Gondpipri for school and college face difficulty because of ST bus timings, and a memorandum seeks a change.
Students from Dongargaon in Gondpipri taluka who attend school and college are facing several problems because of the timings of ST buses. The issue has come up once again. Young workers in Gondpipri submitted a memorandum to the ST bus station administration, seeking that students be able to reach school and college on time and travel safely and easily.
The memorandum states that a large number of students travel between Dongargaon and Gondpipri every day for school and college. However, the ST bus timings do not match their class schedules. This makes the journey difficult, and some students are held up in reaching school or college on time.
Keeping in view the students' studies and safe travel, the memorandum was submitted to the Gondpipri ST bus station administration on the initiative and guidance of BJP city president Chetansingh Gaur and Yuva Morcha city president Vaibhav Bongirwar. The problem was also conveyed by phone to Rajura Assembly constituency MLA Devrao Bhongle, who was requested to resolve it.
On the occasion, residents, parents and students of Dongargaon also put before the administration the difficulties caused by the bus timings. The demand was that students be able to reach school and college on time, that their travel remain safe, and that their studies not suffer for want of a bus service.
Parents and villagers say the matter is directly linked to the students' education. They want the ST Mahamandal and the administration concerned to take it seriously and resolve the Dongargaon students' bus service issue soon. The memorandum expresses hope that the administration will take positive steps to give students a regular, safe and timely means of travel.
The memorandum seeks the necessary changes in bus timings. It says the timings of ST bus trips should be changed in view of the study hours of students in the Dongargaon area, or else the bus service should be provided to suit the students' convenience. In particular, the administration is expected to arrange that students can reach Gondpipri on time in the morning for school and college, and return to the village safely after noon.
