Gold prices rise again, silver unchanged: check rates in your city
24-carat gold climbed to Rs 1,52,850 per 10 grams on September 26, while silver held steady at Rs 2,44,900 per kg.
Gold prices rose again in the country on September 26. 24-carat gold reached Rs 1,52,850 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,40,110 per 10 grams. 18-carat gold stood at Rs 1,14,640 per 10 grams. Per gram, 24-carat gold sold for Rs 15,285, 22-carat for Rs 14,011 and 18-carat for Rs 11,464.
Silver saw no movement on the day. On September 26, silver held at Rs 2,44,900 per kg and Rs 244.90 per gram, unchanged from the September 25 rate.
A day earlier, on September 25, gold prices were slightly lower. That day, 24-carat gold sold at Rs 15,267 per gram, 22-carat at Rs 13,994 per gram and 18-carat at Rs 11,450 per gram. Per 10 grams, 22-carat gold was Rs 1,39,940, 24-carat gold was Rs 1,52,670 and 18-carat gold was Rs 1,14,500 on September 25. Silver was also at Rs 2,44,900 per kg and Rs 244.90 per gram on September 25, meaning no change the next day.
Gold prices show slight variation across cities. In Mumbai, 22-carat gold sold at Rs 1,40,110, 24-carat at Rs 1,52,850 and 18-carat at Rs 1,14,640 per 10 grams today. Pune, Kerala, Kolkata, Nagpur, Bengaluru and Hyderabad recorded the same rates: Rs 1,40,110 for 22-carat, Rs 1,52,850 for 24-carat and Rs 1,14,640 for 18-carat, per 10 grams.
Prices were slightly higher in Nashik, where 22-carat gold sold at Rs 1,40,140, 24-carat at Rs 1,52,880 and 18-carat at Rs 1,14,670 per 10 grams. In Chennai, 22-carat and 24-carat rates matched other cities at Rs 1,40,110 and Rs 1,52,850 respectively, but 18-carat gold sold at Rs 1,17,810 per 10 grams, higher than other cities. In Surat, 22-carat gold was Rs 1,40,160, 24-carat was Rs 1,52,900 and 18-carat was Rs 1,14,690 per 10 grams.
Gold prices were highest in Delhi among all cities. Here, 22-carat gold sold at Rs 1,40,260, 24-carat at Rs 1,53,000 and 18-carat at Rs 1,14,790 per 10 grams. Chandigarh, Lucknow and Jaipur recorded the same rates as Delhi: Rs 1,40,260 for 22-carat, Rs 1,53,000 for 24-carat and Rs 1,14,790 for 18-carat, per 10 grams.
