flydeal launches non-stop Mumbai-Riyadh flights, five days a week
Saudia Group's low-cost carrier flydeal began a direct Mumbai-Riyadh service on October 3, 2026, its second Indian destination after Hyderabad.
flydeal, the fast-growing low-cost airline of the Saudia Group, has started a direct non-stop flight between Mumbai and Riyadh. flydeal is the largest low-cost airline in the GCC. After its Hyderabad flight, Mumbai is its second destination in India, strengthening the company's presence in a large international market.
The Riyadh-Mumbai service began on October 3, 2026. Captain Abdulaziz Bahri, the airline's Chief Operating Officer, and Captain Ali Hakim, its Chief Pilot, operated the flight. The company had entered the Indian market earlier, on July 3, 2026, with its Hyderabad flight.
flydeal now operates the Mumbai-Riyadh route five days a week with its A320neo aircraft. According to the company, this adds more than 7,400 new seats a month between the two cities, giving travellers between India and Saudi Arabia more choice and convenience.
The timings are set so that the flight from Mumbai reaches Riyadh in mid-morning, while the flight from Riyadh lands in Mumbai in the morning. The schedule suits passengers bound for Saudi cities such as Abha, Dammam, Jeddah and Medina. A single booking gives a through-fare, and baggage is carried directly to the final destination.
The A320neo on this route has 186 seats, all in economy class. Every seat has a USB-A or USB-C charging port. The aircraft has Airbus's Airspace cabin interior, extra-large overhead bins with more space for luggage, and cabin design and lighting meant to make the journey comfortable and the atmosphere cheerful.
Sanjeev Kapoor, Acting Chief Executive Officer of flydeal and Executive Vice President, Strategies, of the Saudia Group, said: "India is the world's largest and fastest-growing aviation market, and as we expand our international network, India is a strategic priority market for flydeal. Saudi Arabia is now one of India's three largest international travel markets. Travel and tourist movement between the two countries keep growing, so we see very large scope here to connect passengers with convenient, affordable and reliable services."
Kapoor added: "As the third-largest low-cost airline in the Middle East, we are committed to strengthening our presence in India, and Mumbai is an important stop on this journey. By connecting Mumbai with the capital of Saudi Arabia, this new service offers onward connectivity on a single booking, making it easy to reach different places across the Kingdom. Notably, flydeal flights use Jeddah's state-of-the-art Terminal 1, where a bullet train to both Makkah and Madinah is available directly from the terminal. In Riyadh they use Terminal 4, which offers fast and easy connectivity to flydeal's large domestic network. With other new steps that bring more stability, convenience and peace of mind to travel planning, we are improving the customer experience while keeping our promise of reliable travel at reasonable fares."
As part of the Saudia Group, flydeal is steadily expanding its international network in support of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The Kingdom's major goal is to increase connectivity worldwide and draw more tourists through the growth of aviation and tourism, and the company is contributing to it.
