पेट्रोल का खर्च बढ़ने से इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर की ओर रुझान बढ़ा है। Hero, TVS, Ola और Komaki के पांच मॉडल की कीमत, रेंज और खासियतें।

With petrol costs rising steadily, many people are considering an electric scooter. There are now plenty of options in the market. Buyers are increasingly drawn to long-range electric scooters priced below Rs 1.5 lakh. Some models from companies such as Ola, TVS, Hero and Komaki come with large batteries, digital displays, disc brakes and smart features. Some companies claim a range of more than 300 km on one charge. Here are the price, range and features of five scooters.

First is the Hero Vida VX2 Plus, priced at Rs 1,50,990 with a range of 187 km. Its 4.4 kWh battery variant has a removable battery, which can make it easier to arrange charging at home or in an apartment. It could suit people who commute daily to office and travel within the city. The price is Rs 990 above the Rs 1.5 lakh mark, so buyers with a budget of exactly Rs 1.5 lakh should check the variant and any discounts before buying.

Second is the TVS iQube ST, with an effective price of Rs 1.48 lakh and a claimed range of 212 km. Its 5.3 kWh battery variant is listed with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display and 32 litres of under-seat storage. It may appeal to those who want more storage space and digital features. The original ex-showroom price and the price after subsidy may differ, so buyers should settle on the final price only after checking the state subsidy, eligibility and dealer discounts.

Third is the Ola S1 Pro, priced at Rs 1,40,999. A 242 km IDC range is claimed for its 4 kWh battery variant. According to the company, the scooter can go from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.7 seconds. It is an option for those who want good performance along with long range. Buyers should check the current price of the variant they want, as Ola's official website lists different prices by model and variant.

Fourth is the Ola S1 X+, with a starting price of Rs 1,21,999. A range of up to 320 km on the IDC cycle is claimed for its 5.2 kWh battery variant. It has features such as a 4.3-inch LCD display and a front disc brake. It is an eye-catching option for those who want both higher range and a low starting price. According to Ola, variants with the 320 km claim are available, but actual range depends on road conditions, speed, load and riding style.

Fifth is the Komaki XR7, priced at Rs 91,499. The company claims a range of up to 322 km. Its listed features include a LiPO4 battery, a 3,000W BLDC hub motor, a smart digital dashboard, disc brakes, park assist and self-diagnosis. It may attract those looking for more range on a small budget. Even so, the 322 km claim, battery capacity, model availability and price should be confirmed with an authorised seller.

Which electric scooter to buy depends on individual needs. Buyers should not decide on the company's stated range alone, and should also consider actual range, battery warranty, charging facilities, the service network and the final on-road price.

The prices and ranges above are based on available information and may not fully match current market prices or the official details of every variant. Buyers should particularly check the post-subsidy price and claims of more than 300 km of range before buying.
