The first video has emerged of Indian Captain Smit Machhar, who was injured in a serious incident in the cockpit of flydubai flight FZ1073. In the video he is seen lying on a stretcher as medical staff take him for treatment. A large bandage is also visible on his shoulder.

According to the information available, Captain Machhar has injuries to his shoulder, chest, hand and abdomen. He has been admitted to a hospital in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where he is being treated. Meanwhile, a social media post has said that the first pictures of Captain Smit outside the aircraft after the knife attack have surfaced. Reports say that even in his injured state, Captain Machhar managed to open the cockpit door. This allowed the other crew members and passengers on board to get help. Additional pilots on the aircraft then took control of the plane.

After the incident the aircraft was diverted and landed at Tabuk in Saudi Arabia. According to the information provided, 174 people were travelling on the flight, and the passengers are said to be safe. The injured pilots were admitted to hospital for treatment.
