Farmer, 37, dies after getting caught in maize harvesting machine in Jamner taluka, Jalgaon

A 37-year-old farmer died on the spot after getting caught in a maize harvesting machine in Jamner taluka of Jalgaon district. The tragedy has cast a pall of grief over the taluka and the district, and the village is in mourning.

The deceased has been identified as Yogesh Bhavalal Patil, a resident of the Bhagdara area. According to the information available, the accident took place at around 11 am on Wednesday.

Maize harvesting was under way on the farm of Dishen Mahajan, a farmer in Jamner taluka. Patil was operating the harvesting machine himself. As the work went on at a quick pace, he suddenly got caught in the machine. The machine was running, so he had no chance to get out, and he died on the spot in the accident.

Patil did not only farm. He also earned a living for his family honestly by operating the maize harvesting machine. His sudden death has plunged the family, which he supported through hard work and courage, into grief.

He is survived by his wife and three young children. As the main earner and the family's only support, his death has left the three children without a father. Villagers are expressing deep condolences to the bereaved family.

On receiving news of the incident, a team from Jamner police station reached the spot immediately. Police inspected the site closely and sent the body for post-mortem. Jamner police have registered a case of accidental death at the station and are investigating the incident thoroughly.
