Ducati has launched two new bikes in India for premium superbike buyers, the 2026 Hypermotard V2 and the Hypermotard V2 SP. The ex-showroom price of the standard V2 is Rs 16.53 lakh, while the V2 SP is priced at Rs 20.78 lakh, ex-showroom.
Bookings for both bikes have begun at the company's official dealerships in India. The standard V2 comes in Ducati Red, while the V2 SP gets a special SP livery.
The Hypermotard's journey began at the EICMA show in 2005, and the bike has now reached its fourth generation. The new model has a double-wing fuel tank, a striking front design, a wide handlebar, forward-set footpegs and dual exhausts under the seat.
Both bikes have a monocoque frame and a new double-sided aluminium swingarm. As a result, the standard V2 is 13 kg lighter and the V2 SP 14 kg lighter than the previous model. Seat height is 880 mm.
Both models have the new 890 cc Ducati V2 engine. The company claims it is the lightest twin-cylinder engine Ducati has built, weighing only 54.4 kg. The engine produces 118.3 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. Notably, 70% of the maximum torque is available at just 3,000 rpm.
The Hypermotard V2 gets cornering ABS, slide-by-brake function, Ducati Traction Control, wheelie control, engine brake control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. It also has a 5-inch full-TFT display with three info modes named Road, Road Pro and Track.
The V2 SP gets fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, Brembo M50 calipers and forged aluminium wheels. Ducati Power Launch and a pit limiter are also standard on it. Both bikes emphasise performance along with modern technology that gives the rider control.
