Delhi: Street collision sparks fight, stabbing leaves three including two minors held
Police in Delhi's Anand Parvat solved a murder within seven hours, detaining a 19-year-old and two minors over a fatal stabbing that began with an accidental collision.
Delhi Police have cracked a murder case in the Anand Parvat area within just seven hours. A 19-year-old man and two minors, aged 17 and 15, have been detained in connection with the case. Police have also recovered the knife used in the attack.
The incident took place around 8:30 pm on September 22. Police received a PCR call that a person had been stabbed in the Anand Parvat area. A police team reached Gali Number 16 on Singh Road, where a 17-year-old boy was found injured. He was rushed to Jeevanmala Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Given the seriousness of the case, a special team was formed under the supervision of SHO Inspector Subhash Chandra and the guidance of ACP Patel Nagar, Sunil Kumar. The team included investigating officer Inspector Ranveer Singh, SI Deepanshu, Head Constable Sharvan, Head Constable Harish, and Constables Suresh, Rajesh and Girdhari. Police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and began investigating.
With the help of CCTV footage, technical surveillance and local information, police identified all three accused involved in the attack and arrested them from the Anand Parvat area itself.
According to police, the accused collided with the victim while passing through Gali Number 16, after which an argument broke out between the two sides. The argument escalated to the point where the three allegedly attacked the victim with a knife.
The detained accused have been identified as Tushar (19), a resident of Anand Parvat, and two minors aged 17 and 15. Police said that during questioning, they admitted to attacking the victim with a knife after the argument. The knife used in the attack was recovered based on information they provided.
DCP (Central District) Rohit Rajbir Singh said that prompt police action and technical investigation helped solve the murder within just seven hours. Further investigation into the case is underway.
