Raigad district guardian minister Bharatshet Gogawale has said that the place MLA Mahendra Thorve has made in people's hearts in the Karjat Khalapur assembly constituency means he will be elected MLA from the seat again in the 2029 election. Gogawale said this while speaking to reporters at MLA Thorve's home in Posari, where he had gone for Ganesh darshan.

Guardian minister Gogawale paid his respects to Ganpati Bappa with great devotion at MLA Thorve's home. MLA Mahendra Thorve, former deputy chairman Manohar Thorve, Yuva Sena district chief Prasad Thorve, younger brother Vishwanath Thorve and advocate Sanket Bhase were present to welcome him. After speaking with a large gathering of workers, Gogawale told reporters that his prayer to Ganpati Bappa was that the Thorve family gain more strength and their constituency become even stronger than before.

Asked whether he had come to placate MLAs Mahendra Dalvi and Mahendra Thorve, who are said to be upset that MP Sunil Tatkare went for Ganesh darshan without them, Gogawale said the two are his own men and were simply passing in front of his house, so he stopped in for Bappa's darshan, and nothing more. He added that this is the second term for both of them and they will complete a hat-trick, which no one can stop, and that there would be no harm even if god had to be kept in water for this to happen. Gogawale said he never gives wrong advice, so the two should trust him and be patient, as no one can stop their hat-trick.

Gogawale also said no one can deny the efforts Mahendra Thorve and Mahendra Dalvi made to get him appointed guardian minister. He said he cannot forget this, and that is why he has come to Karjat whenever the two have called him, including last year and this year.

Asked about a reported secret meeting of Mahayuti leaders in Khalapur to which Mahendra Thorve was not invited, Gogawale clarified that a meeting is considered secret only if held in a hotel, but his meeting had taken place in the open, though MLA Mahendra Thorve was not called at that time. He said the next meeting will be attended by both Raigad MPs along with both MLAs.
