The Women and Child Welfare Department of Chandrapur Zilla Parishad has launched a new online portal called 'Gramsamruddhi' to give rural women and girls a chance to start their own livelihoods through skill training.

The portal provides complete details of various schemes, along with eligibility conditions and the documents required. Women who wish to avail these schemes can now apply online. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Pulkit Singh has appealed to eligible women to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Women and Child Welfare Department already runs several schemes aimed at giving rural women and girls skill training to make them financially strong and self-reliant. Until now, it was difficult to ensure these schemes reached eligible beneficiaries easily, which is why the separate online portal was launched.

The main aim of these schemes is to develop the skills of women and girls, teach them the skills needed for jobs and self-employment, and create a stable source of income for them. They also include schemes that provide financial assistance to boys and girls for further studies after Classes 10 and 12.

Eligible women and girls will be given training in different trades and skills based on their preference, need and opportunity. During the training, along with teaching skills needed for a trade, guidance and encouragement to start their own work will also be provided.

To make the application process simple, transparent and fast, a separate portal named gramsamruddhi.in/wcdscheme has been created. This portal brings together scheme information, eligibility conditions, required documents and the facility to apply online, all in one place. Interested women can fill out the online application along with the necessary documents.

Pulkit Singh said the Zilla Parishad's aim is to make as many women and girls in rural areas as possible economically capable through self-employment by giving them an opportunity for skill development. He appealed to eligible and interested women and girls in the district to learn about the schemes available on the 'Gramsamruddhi' portal and make full use of this opportunity.
