Women often try one product or another to improve the glow of their face, whether an expensive store-bought cream or a skin treatment. Instead of repeatedly using chemical-based skin care products, it is said that natural ingredients should be used on the skin.

Changes in weather, heavier workloads, mental stress, nutrient deficiency and inadequate sleep all affect the skin, and it can begin to sag at an early age. Costly treatments such as Botox or fillers are used to correct wrinkles or loose skin. A night cream can instead be prepared quickly at home from butterfly pea (gokarna) flowers.

The cream needs butterfly pea flowers, cornflour, aloe vera gel, vitamin E capsules and almond oil.

First, pluck off the green part of the flowers and discard it. Wash the flowers well in water. Put them in a bowl of water and leave them for 15 to 20 minutes. The water will gradually turn blue. Then put the flowers, along with the water, into a mixer and grind them fine.

In another bowl, take a spoonful of cornflour and mix in the prepared paste. Make sure no lumps of cornflour form. Then heat water in a vessel, place the bowl of paste in it and keep stirring with a spoon. After 2 to 3 minutes, take the bowl out of the hot water and set it aside to cool.

Once it has cooled, add the almond oil, vitamin E capsules and aloe vera gel and mix well. When the mixture thickens, fill the cream into an airtight glass container.

It is advised to apply the cream to the face and neck every night before sleeping and massage gently. The massage is said to help improve blood circulation in the skin and firm up wrinkles and loose skin. Using the butterfly pea flower night cream is suggested for relief from growing skin problems.
