AYUSH admissions 2026: First merit list seats 10,519 students in state
The first AYUSH merit list for 2026-27 has allotted medical college seats to 10,519 students across BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the first seat allotment list for the centralised admission process to three AYUSH medical education courses for the academic year 2026-27. The three courses are Ayurveda (BAMS), Homeopathy (BHMS) and Unani (BUMS).
In this first list, 10,519 students have been offered admission out of a total of 11,272 seats across 166 medical colleges in the state. Meanwhile, 753 seats remain vacant and will be available for the second round.
For the BAMS course, 7,546 students have been offered admission in the first list out of 7,689 seats across 113 medical colleges in the state. Of these, 1,157 students got seats in 16 government colleges and 6,389 in 97 private colleges. A total of 143 seats remained vacant.
For the BHMS course, 2,727 students have been offered admission in the first list out of 3,333 seats across 48 medical colleges in the state. Of these, 134 students got seats in 2 government colleges and 2,593 in 46 private colleges. A total of 606 seats remained vacant.
For the BUMS course, 246 students have been offered admission out of 250 seats across 5 medical colleges in the state. Of these, 102 students got seats in 2 government colleges and 144 in 3 private colleges. A total of 4 seats remained vacant.
Students allotted a college in the first round must personally visit the allotted college and confirm admission with the required original documents and a demand draft for the required fee between September 28, 2026 and 5:30 pm on October 1, 2026.
Fee payment by cheque will be permitted on a bank holiday, but it must be replaced with a demand draft on the next working day. If a candidate fails to submit the demand draft on the next working day, the admission may be cancelled.
Overall, 10,519 of the 11,272 seats across 166 colleges in the three courses have been filled in the first round, with 753 seats remaining for the second round.
