Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has announced recruitment for non-teaching staff. The university has invited applications from eligible candidates for a total of 56 posts, to be filled on a direct recruitment and deputation basis.

Of the 56 posts, the largest number, 40, are for junior assistant and junior assistant-cum-caretaker. There are six posts of senior assistant and four of section officer. Staff nurse has two posts. Internal audit officer, system administrator (IT), sports coach (women) and junior library assistant have one post each.

Applications will be accepted online, and the last date is October 20. Interested and eligible candidates can complete registration on the university's official website within the stipulated time.

Educational requirements differ by post. For system administrator (IT), candidates need a postgraduate degree, B.Tech or MCA in computer science or information technology from a recognised institution or university, with at least 50/55 per cent marks. A postgraduate degree is required for section officer and a graduate degree for senior assistant. For staff nurse, a BSc (Honours) in nursing is sought.

For sports coach (women), a bachelor's or master's degree in physical education is required. For junior library assistant, a bachelor's degree in library science or library and information science is needed. For junior assistant, candidates need to have passed Class 12 or its equivalent, along with a computer typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 in Hindi.

The post of internal audit officer is on deputation. Officers of government departments, organisations, autonomous bodies or public sector undertakings (PSUs) who have experience in finance, accounts or audit in the Level 12 pay scale are eligible. In addition, a specified number of years of experience in the relevant field is required for all posts.

The upper age limit ranges from 27 to 56 years, depending on the post. Age will be calculated as on the last date for applications. As per the rules, candidates from reserved categories will get relaxation in the upper age limit.

Fees also vary by post. Internal audit officer and system administrator (IT) candidates will have to pay Rs 1,000. Section officer, senior assistant and staff nurse candidates will pay Rs 500, while sports coach, junior library assistant and junior assistant candidates will pay a registration fee of Rs 300.

Selection will be in several stages: screening of applications, shortlisting on merit, an examination or interview, and finally document verification. Selected candidates will be paid monthly salaries from Level 2 to Level 12 as per the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC).
