Amazon has announced the official dates for its biggest shopping festival in India, the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026. The sale will begin on October 8, 2026. Smartphones, electronics, fashion, beauty products, home appliances, groceries and other items will be available at the lowest prices of the year.
Customers will get an instant 10 percent discount on SBI credit and debit cards, as well as on eligible EMI transactions. Prime members will get an additional discount of up to 10 percent on select offers. Prime Video will also feature exclusive originals, films and web series across languages and genres.
Major brands will launch new products during the sale, which will also feature blockbuster deals, top 100 deals, mega deals, deals at 8 pm, and no-cost EMI options. Customers can save further through offers such as Buy More Save More, an exchange mela, Sample Mania and Amazon Combo.
This year, customers will be able to use AI shopping features to compare products, check historical price trends and get personalised recommendations. Thanks to Amazon's fast delivery network, thousands of products will reach customers within minutes or an hour. More than 1 million products will be delivered the same day, and more than 4 million the next day. Millions of other products will be delivered free to Prime members.
To handle the surge in demand, Amazon has significantly expanded its network in India, setting up 20 new fulfilment centres, 6 new sort centres and 150 new last-mile delivery stations. This has created more than 160,000 temporary jobs across operations in about 400 cities. Amazon's network in India is currently supported by more than 1.7 million sellers. The company's total seller base has crossed 2 million, with more than 300,000 new sellers joining the platform in the past year alone.
According to the company, its Amazon Now service will be expanded to 100 cities before Diwali. It is currently available in several non-metro cities including Jalandhar, Tirupati, Warangal, Dharwad, Vellore and Berhampur. The service allows customers to order groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, beverages, household items, personal care and beauty products, and small electronic devices directly.
Amazon India Vice President Saurabh Srivastava said, "The Amazon Great Indian Festival brings together customers, sellers and brands for the country's biggest shopping celebration, celebrating the spirit of Indian festivals. This year, customers across India can look forward to the lowest prices of the year on crores of products, blockbuster deals and new launches. A wide range of premium as well as value products will be delivered in minutes, hours, the same day or the next day.
