AI Saathi course for teachers extended again, admissions open till October 31
The online course on the Diksha portal has been extended a second time; enrolled teachers must finish it by November 30, 2026.
The deadline for the online course "AI Saathi for Teachers" on the Diksha portal has been extended once again. The course has been started for teachers in the state who teach Classes 1 to 12. It aims to give teachers essential knowledge and skills in the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The information was given by Jyoti Shinde, Deputy Director in the IT and Mass Media Department of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). She said the course had already been extended once before. Following instructions from CIET-NCERT, its duration has now been extended for a second time.
Under the new, revised schedule, teachers can enrol in the course till October 31, 2026. Teachers who have already enrolled must complete it by November 30, 2026, which is mandatory.
Several officials across the state have also been informed. They include divisional deputy directors, the Regional Education Authority, the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), municipal administration officers, education officers and education inspectors. All of them have been asked to take whatever action is needed to ensure that teachers in their jurisdiction enrol in the course and complete it within the stipulated period.
Teachers who have not yet joined the course therefore have until October 31, 2026, while those who have joined have until November 30, 2026 to finish it.
