Adobe Premiere launches on Android with 4K video export on mobile
Adobe Premiere is now officially available to Android users, with basic editing and watermark-free 4K export said to be free.
Content creators who edit videos on their phones have a useful tech update. Adobe Premiere is now officially available for Android users. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
The phone must run Android 13 or a newer version, and the device needs at least 5 GB of RAM.
The app offers features such as a multi-track timeline, video editing and 4K export. According to Adobe, basic editing and 4K export without a watermark are free.
The biggest attraction of Adobe Premiere Mobile is the ability to export video in 4K resolution. Available information indicates that exporting 4K video does not bring a watermark. Creators making videos for YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook or other social media platforms will therefore get the option of high-quality editing on the phone itself.
Along with the multi-track timeline, the app also offers some AI-based features. However, Adobe's more advanced generative AI features may require in-app purchases.
Video editing on mobile is no longer limited to social media reels. Journalists, YouTubers, digital news portals, video creators and small businesses are making videos on their phones. For such users, getting some features of professional editing software on mobile is considered significant. Adobe has also targeted creators in India as an important user group for the app.
Meanwhile, the use of AI in mobile video editing is growing fast. AI video editing apps available in 2026 show features such as auto captions, background removal, noise reduction, creating videos from a script and AI-based editing. The possibility that video editing will not need expensive computers or complex software in future has therefore grown. With a powerful smartphone and the right AI editing app, many tasks could be done on the phone alone.
