What parents should check before admission to VIBGYOR High's CBSE school in Magarpatta

The CBSE branch is affiliated only up to the secondary level, so families wanting Classes 1 to 12 in one school should ask about Classes 11 and 12.

When choosing a school, parents need to know what kind of education their child will get and whether the school will keep meeting the child's needs as the child grows. With that in mind, here is information on the CBSE branch of VIBGYOR High in Magarpatta City, Hadapsar. VIBGYOR has different branches and different boards. The same campus also offers CISCE, so parents should confirm with the school which board the admission in question is for.

The school's address is Survey No. 130, Plot No. MP4, opposite Megameals, near the West Gate of Magarpatta City, Hadapsar, Pune 411013. According to CBSE's SARAS record, the affiliation number is 1131527, valid from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2031. CBSE has granted the school secondary-level status, not senior secondary. CBSE lists Chaitali Abhijit Pise as principal, and the school is run by Empire Foundation. The school's own website also describes it as a CBSE school.

The secondary-level status matters to parents. Families who want one school from Class 1 to Class 12 should ask up to which class the CBSE section currently runs, when Classes 11 and 12 will start, which subjects will be offered, and what arrangement will be made if the child reaches Class 11 before then.

On academics, Classes 1 and 2 have computers, English, Hindi, Marathi, mathematics, social science and art. In Class 8, Foundation of Information Technology is also taught. The school says its approach rests on the theories of Gardner, Bloom and Kolb, and that the aim is for children to learn by doing rather than by rote. The school also uses continuous assessment.

The facilities listed include computer and science labs, a library, a cafeteria, a gym, a children's play area, a football pitch, a skating rink, a music room and a sick bay with trained medical staff. These are the school's own statements, so a visit is necessary. The clubs include Nature's Club, Greeders Club, VIBGYOR Model United Nations, a student exchange programme and VIBGYOR Viva.

Some things are not yet clear. Sufficient recent evidence was not found that the Magarpatta campus runs a full AI or robotics curriculum. It would not be right to assume that a facility at another campus is available at Magarpatta. Records of the current deployment of a counsellor and a special educator are old, so these too should be confirmed directly with the school.

Parents should not rely on outside listings for fees, as their estimates vary widely. According to the school, fees vary by campus and class, and full details are given during the admission process. The real annual cost can be worked out only by adding the admission fee, tuition, annual charges, transport, books, uniform, activities, meals and other necessary expenses. Parents should also ask about seats, age criteria, required documents, the refund policy, and the school bus route and timings.
