Srivastava has been appointed its managing director and CEO. The company is a subsidiary of IndusInd Capital Limited and part of IndusInd International Holdings Limited (IIHL), a large banking and financial services group.

The appointment marks the start of a fresh growth agenda for one of the country's older broking houses. The company now wants to become a modern, technology-first investment platform for the country's fast-growing base of investors.

Srivastava has about 25 years of experience in banking, financial services and capital markets. He has led broking businesses through several market cycles. He is reported to have a good record in business transformation, digital innovation and building strong franchises for sustainable growth.

Before joining IndusInd Securities, he was managing director and CEO of Standard Chartered Securities. Earlier, he held senior positions at HDFC Securities, Reliance Securities and ICICI Bank. He is a science graduate and holds an MBA in marketing.

At IndusInd Securities, Srivastava will lead the company's next phase of growth. He is charged with reviving the company and placing it at the forefront of India's changing investment landscape. A major priority will be using data and AI to give investors personalised research and advice, and to improve the customer experience across platforms. He will also focus on extending the company's reach to new areas. By drawing on IndusInd's larger ecosystem, he wants to give customers a seamless experience from banking to investing. These efforts are expected to build a broking franchise that is strong over the long term.

Welcoming the appointment, Roopam Asthana, executive director and CEO of IndusInd Capital Limited, said: "Rajeev is joining IndusInd Securities at a crucial juncture, as we reshape this business into a strong, digitally enabled capital market franchise built for the next generation of Indian investors. His deep industry experience, strategic outlook and proven ability to transform and scale businesses make him the right leader for this journey. I am confident that under his leadership IndusInd Securities will grow faster, win good market share and set new benchmarks in customer experience, while the highest standards of trust and governance are also maintained."

Srivastava said on his appointment: "I am happy to lead IndusInd Securities at a time when India's capital markets are undergoing a structural shift. There is record participation by first-time investors, digital adoption is accelerating and interest is growing across different asset classes. IndusInd Securities has a rich legacy, and the strength of the IndusInd brand and the backing of IIHL give us a strong foundation. Our focus will be on building a modern, customer-first investment platform that brings together simple technology, deep research and personalised service. We will do this with disciplined execution and strong governance, so that we build a business that lasts over the long term."
