PMC demolishes about 23,000 sq m of construction at residential complex in Pune's Kondhwa

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Thursday carried out a demolition drive at a residential complex at Pokle Mala in the Parge Nagar area of Kondhwa. The action covered about 23,000 square metres of construction.

PMC teams reached the spot and completed the drive using machines. Given its scale, the action is being seen in the area as a significant one by the civic body.

It is not yet clear how many buildings or residential units were affected. Details of the notices served on the property owners and the legal status of the structures were not immediately available.

The civic body has not given any further information about the builder, nor has it said under what circumstances the demolition had to be carried out. There is also no information on whether residents or property owners have responded.
