First Marathi film made entirely with AI, 'Bagulbuva', features Abhijeet Khandkekar and 55 other actors

A film made entirely with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) has been produced for the first time in the Marathi film industry. It is called 'Bagulbuva'. AI is increasingly affecting almost every field, and a few films have been made with AI before, but Marathi cinema had not seen such an experiment until now. 'Bagulbuva' fills that gap.

What sets the film apart is that it features real actors and has still been made through AI. It is said to be the first film to be released in theatres after such an experiment. The film is directed by Chetan Chavda.

The film is produced by SS Films Production. Sharad Patil and Anjali Patil are its producers. Actor and director Chetan Chavda has written the story and directed the film. The screenplay is by Nitin Chavan, the editing by Vinod Raje, the VFX by Atharva Chavan and the storyboard by Akash Pande. The AI work on the film was handled by Metafex Production. The lyrics are by Aditi Dravid, and the music is by Sai Piyush.

Actor Abhijeet Khandkekar will be seen in the film. Besides him, 55 other strong performers are in the film, but their names are being kept under wraps for now.

The film's title teaser has been launched on social media. The teaser looks like a Hollywood film. It shows that the story is set in Pune and the surrounding area. A crisis suddenly strikes, and the sight of it leaves the eyes strained. What exactly this 'Bagulbuva' that arrives as a crisis is will be answered only when the film is seen.

No teaser or trailer in Marathi cinema had so far shown a portrayal of such grandeur. This has heightened public curiosity about 'Bagulbuva'.

Marathi films have come this far by embracing changes in technology. It is possible to adopt this technology in the age of AI too and add to the grandeur of Marathi films. In that sense, 'Bagulbuva' will prove significant. Besides being a film made entirely with AI, it will have a few more surprises, for which audiences will have to wait a little.
