The IMD recorded no rain in the city or suburbs on Sunday, while Mumbai's overall AQI stood at 78, in the satisfactory range.

Light clouds persisted over Mumbai on Sunday, November 1. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), no rain was recorded anywhere in the city or the suburbs. Clouds are likely through the day, so the weather will stay somewhat warm.

In the IMD's latest report, Colaba's minimum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees above normal. The Santacruz weather station recorded a minimum of 23.9 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees above normal. Although November has begun, night temperatures in Mumbai remain above normal.

Across the state, the IMD said the highest maximum temperature in Maharashtra was recorded at Dahanu, at 35.7 degrees Celsius. The weather stayed mostly dry in many parts of the state, and most stations recorded no rain.

Mumbai had rain over the previous two days, after which air quality in the city improved considerably. According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board's SAMEER app, Mumbai's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was 78 on Sunday morning.

Under the national AQI classification, a reading between 51 and 100 is considered satisfactory, while one between 101 and 200 falls in the moderate category. By that measure, the air across the city was in the satisfactory range.

However, the AQI was in the moderate category at some monitoring stations. It was 141 at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and 102 at Worli. Other parts of the city recorded lower figures: 71 at Sewri, 65 at Ghatkopar and 70 at Andheri. All three are in the satisfactory category.

Air quality varied across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Thane's AQI was 72 on Sunday, which is satisfactory under the national classification. Navi Mumbai recorded an AQI of 95 and Kalyan 58. Both are also in the satisfactory range.
