Yellow alert for Gadchiroli as light rain likely in parts of Maharashtra on Tuesday
The weather department has issued a yellow alert for rain in some districts on October 6, with light to moderate showers possible from Konkan to Vidarbha.

A yellow alert has been issued for Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, where light showers are possible, especially after evening. The maximum temperature in Konkan is expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 23 degrees Celsius.
In North Maharashtra, the chance of rain is low in Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon and Nashik, and the weather will be mostly dry. Some places may see partly cloudy skies. Hot and humid conditions may make it uncomfortable for people. The maximum temperature in the region may reach 31 degrees Celsius.
In Western Maharashtra, the weather is likely to be mostly dry in Pune, Ahilyanagar and Solapur. Light to moderate showers are expected in Kolhapur, Satara and parts of the ghat areas. Winds may blow at 30 to 40 km/h in some places. The maximum temperature may be around 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 22 degrees Celsius.
In Marathwada, the weather is expected to be mostly dry in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur and Dharashiv. The mercury is rising here. The maximum temperature may be 31 to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 25 degrees Celsius. The changing weather is likely to affect farming as well.
There is no alert today for most districts of Vidarbha, but a yellow alert for rain has been issued for Gadchiroli district. Winds may blow at 40 to 50 km/h in some areas. The yellow alert for Gadchiroli is expected to continue on October 7 as well.
Overall, conditions are not fully supportive of the returning rain in the state, though light showers remain likely in some districts. With the monsoon withdrawing quickly, people and farmers are watching how much the October heat builds and how the rain behaves in the days ahead.
