Nagpur: Man booked for obscene behaviour towards woman in Yashodhara Nagar
Nagpur police have booked a 28-year-old man after a woman accused him of repeatedly behaving obscenely towards her near her home.
A case of obscene behaviour towards a woman has come to light in the jurisdiction of Yashodhara Nagar police station in Nagpur. The woman filed a complaint with police, on the basis of which they have registered a case against a 28-year-old man.
According to information received by police, the accused has been identified as Dnyaneshwar Narayan Ghume, a resident near Kolba Swami Temple in Yashodhara Nagar. The woman has alleged that the man would repeatedly make obscene gestures or behave in an obscene manner on seeing her. She told police this was not a one-off incident but that the accused's behaviour had been going on continuously.
On the morning of September 25, the woman was cleaning the terrace of her house when the accused allegedly indulged in obscene behaviour on seeing her. The complaint states that the incident left the woman deeply embarrassed and caused her mental distress.
Based on the woman's complaint, Yashodhara Nagar police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police are currently investigating the matter further.
