Wizz Financial has launched a new digital app aimed at making money transfers easier for Indians travelling abroad and foreign tourists visiting India. The company unveiled the app at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, seeking to bring UPI, remittances, foreign exchange and other financial services onto a single platform.

According to Wizz Financial, the new app will offer domestic and international remittances, foreign exchange, multi-currency prepaid cards, financing, bill payments and mobile recharge. Travel and visa related services have also been added to the platform.

The company has focused on making UPI transactions in India easier for resident and non-resident Indian customers as well as eligible international customers, a move that could give tourists visiting India a cashless payment option.

The platform runs on Wizz Financial's own interoperability infrastructure called SWITCH. The company says SWITCH connects Wizz Financial's applications in the United States, the UAE and India with partner third-party wallets and financial platforms, allowing money transfers within the Wizz Financial ecosystem. The company claims its own payout network covers more than 80 countries, which can be used for cross-border transactions.

Wizz Financial has also focused on linking its US and UAE services with India's UPI ecosystem. According to the company, eligible customers will be able to send money to Indian UPI accounts in real time, and eligible international tourists will be able to make cashless payments in India under the UPI One World framework, subject to applicable regulatory rules, eligibility conditions and set transaction limits.

Wizz Financial says its network in India spans 22 states and serves more than 5 million customers through over 360 branches. The company is now working to connect this offline network with its digital financial services.

Founder and group chief executive officer Ameer Nagammi said the move is a step towards connecting UPI at a global level. He said SWITCH aims to bring together payments, wallets and cross-border money transfer services in the United States, the UAE and India.

Krishnan R., director and CEO of Wizz Financial India, said connecting the branch network in India with digital facilities would make it easier for customers to manage financial services. With the launch at GFF 2026, Wizz Financial has taken its next step towards an integrated digital financial platform. The company says remittance and UPI services will now be available on a single digital platform for resident and non-resident Indians as well as eligible international customers.
