Wardha: Special camps are being held under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan so that people from the Denotified Tribes and Nomadic Tribes categories can get the certificates they need, including caste, income and domicile certificates. Collector Vanmathi C said the departments concerned should coordinate with one another so that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of various government schemes through these camps. She also said care should be taken that no eligible person is left out.

The Collector was speaking at a special camp organised at Dhanodi in Arvi taluka to provide the certificates required for government schemes to people from the Denotified Tribes and Nomadic Tribes categories. She distributed certificates to beneficiaries. She interacted with residents, learnt of their problems and directed the officials concerned to act on them immediately.

On the same visit, Vanmathi C called on the Zilla Parishad primary school and the anganwadi at Dhanodi, where she interacted with students. She inspected the school's water supply, meals, cleanliness and educational facilities and learnt of its difficulties. She directed the officials concerned to find solutions to them.

The Collector then visited the Lower Wardha project at Dhanodi, where she reviewed the work of the Arvi lift irrigation scheme with the officials concerned. She directed the agency concerned to speed up the work and complete it soon.

Against the backdrop of drought conditions, the Collector went to the farm of Devrao Pandoji Kamble at Bahadurpur (Khubgaon) in Arvi taluka and inspected the damage to the soybean crop. Speaking to farmers, she gathered information on the present condition of the cotton, tur and soybean crops and on the availability of water.

Farmers said that, as last year, the soybean crop has been completely destroyed this year. They also said that for the past three years the yield of soybean, tur and cotton has been far below average.

Sub-Divisional Officer Vishwas Shirsat, Tahsildar Harish Kale, Block Development Officer Shivshankar Ingole, Taluka Agriculture Officer Ravindra Ughade, village revenue officers, gram sevaks and others were present throughout the tour.
