Vishal Solaskar joins BJP at Solshi; Jaykumar Gore says North Koregaon's drought will end
Young entrepreneur and former deputy sarpanch Vishal Solaskar joined the BJP in Solshi village of Koregaon taluka, with Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore promising roads and water.
Vishal Solaskar, a young entrepreneur and former deputy sarpanch of Solshi village in Koregaon taluka, joined the BJP. Former Madha Lok Sabha MP Ranjitsinh Naik-Nimbalkar, Sonia Gore, Satara Zilla Parishad president Dr Priyatai Mahesh Shinde, and Zilla Parishad members Amit Chavan and Hanmantrao Jagdale were present. Pune district rural BJP president Shekhar Wadhane, Vikramsinh (Somnath) Bhosale, the BJP's election chief for the Man assembly constituency, and a large number of party workers also attended.
State Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore said every village in the drought-prone northern part of Koregaon taluka would be developed with solid roads and ample water. According to him, a young entrepreneur like Vishal had joined the BJP as a leader of the area, so the drought here would now end.
Gore alleged that the earlier leadership in the area had used it only for its own political interests. He said a change had now come. Gore expressed confidence that development work was under way in village after village and would gather pace.
Former MP Ranjitsinh Naik-Nimbalkar said his father had run both the Vasna scheme for the area's water and the Wangna scheme for the eastern part. He said political leaders who came later made changes to them, and as a result many villages in the area have not received water from these schemes to this day.
Naik-Nimbalkar said 0.92 TMC of water was earlier sanctioned for Vasna, and he later added 0.52 TMC to it. According to him, the full quantity is still not lifted. He said he promised to make changes soon and give water to every village in the area.
Vishal Solaskar said special attention should be paid to Solshi, because an alternative arrangement is being made here. He said water is the main problem of the area. Many ministers hailed as "Mahameru of development" had visited, he said, but water had not arrived.
Solaskar also said young people still have no work and many places lack proper roads. He said these were his main demands.
