A video of a young foreign man reciting the entire Hanuman Chalisa has gone viral on social media. He recites it so clearly that even an Indian might feel embarrassed by comparison. Viewers are amazed at how he delivers it from memory without stumbling anywhere.

The video was shared from an Instagram account named 'neurodivergent_nick'. The young man seen in it is called Nick. He works as a health coach and holistic trainer, and is keen on yoga practice and breathing exercises. For the past few years he has been connected to India's spirituality, and as a result he has learnt the Hanuman Chalisa fully by heart.

Many people do not know the whole Chalisa by heart and often recite it looking at a mobile phone. But this young man has memorised all of it. His pronunciation is also clean and clear, which is why Indians too are praising him.

The video has so far been watched by more than one lakh people, and viewers have left many comments. One user wrote, "Brother, you are doing great work. Do not pay attention to negative comments. It does not matter if you get a word wrong while reciting the Chalisa. Hanuman understands your feeling and your devotion."

Another social media user joked, "It felt wonderful to hear the Hanuman Chalisa from a foreigner. But our grandfathers and great-grandfathers would surely have been confused to see this."

Yet another user wrote, "Everyone's devotion should be respected. What matters is the faith in a person's heart, not which country they are from. Instead of judging others, we should see how genuine our own devotion is."

The Hanuman Chalisa is said to have been written by the saint Tulsidas in the 16th century. It describes Hanuman's strength, his wisdom, his love for Ram and his valour.

People say that reciting the Hanuman Chalisa daily removes fear, builds confidence and brings peace of mind. They also say it drives away negative energy. Nick too said that since he began reciting the Chalisa he has felt very positive and his mind has stayed calm.

These days people abroad are increasingly drawn to Indian culture. They have come to like yoga, Ayurveda, shlokas and prayers a great deal, and find real peace in mantras and shlokas. Social media users say the video shows that devotion knows no language or national border.
