According to him, he left home that day at about 4.45 am with his wife for meditation, locking the house. When they returned at about 6.30 am, they found the locks on the compound wall gate and on the door of the house broken. Inside, the household belongings were strewn about. Gold and silver ornaments kept in a cupboard, cash and two Android mobile phones had been stolen. The total value of the stolen goods was put at Rs 2,14,500.
