A shocking case has come to light in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Police suspect a woman was murdered in a dispute over money and her body cut into nine pieces. The pieces were allegedly thrown into a canal later. The incident has caused alarm across the area.

The case began when an unidentified body was found in Ibrahimpatnam. News of the discovery caused a stir among people nearby. The dead woman has reportedly been identified as Kalyani. Her family recognised the body by a tattoo on the hand, and the identification proved a big help to the investigating officers.

During the investigation, police learnt that an accused named Shafi may have played a major role. Shafi ran a mutton shop. Shafi and Kalyani were reportedly close, but they often quarrelled over money. An old dispute involving Kalyani's son had also soured their relationship.

According to the findings of the investigation, Shafi took Kalyani to his home in Bhavanipuram on September 17. The two are said to have had a heated argument over money there. Shafi then allegedly slit Kalyani's throat with a knife and killed her on the spot.

Police suspect that after the murder Shafi cut the body into nine pieces. The pieces were then disposed of with the help of Guruvulu, who worked at the mutton shop. The pieces were reportedly thrown into a cold-water canal in the Gollapudi area.

Police have now arrested both Shafi and his associate Guruvulu. They are investigating the case in depth, examining the role each played in the crime and trying to understand the full sequence of events.

Police are also looking into the motive, the separate roles of the two suspects, and how the body was transported or disposed of. The picture will become clear only as the investigation progresses.
