Trailer rams Eicher truck near Saundad flyover in Sadak Arjuni, both drivers injured

A serious road accident took place in front of the Saundad railway crossing flyover in Sadak Arjuni tehsil at about 4 am on Saturday, October 24. A trailer coming from behind rammed an Eicher truck ahead of it at the speed breaker near the flyover. After the collision the Eicher truck overturned, and the drivers of both vehicles were injured.

According to details of the accident, the Eicher truck (registration MH 40 AK 4084) was near the speed breaker in front of the Saundad railway crossing flyover at the time. The trailer (registration CG 12 BH 6192) hit it from behind. The impact was so strong that the Eicher truck overturned.

Among the injured, the trailer driver, Naveen Pratapsingh Kaliraman, is 32 and lives in Mumbai. He suffered a serious fracture in his leg. After first aid, he has been referred to Gondia for further treatment.

The Eicher truck driver, Rushabh Janardan Madavi, is 26 and lives in Pardi, Nagpur. He suffered minor injuries and is being treated at a hospital in Saundad.

The accident has once again raised serious questions about safety at the spot. There is not enough lighting at the site, and one-way traffic is also continuing on the flyover. Safety concerns are being raised for these reasons.

Motorists using this route have been urged to keep their speed under control near the speed breaker and to drive with full caution.
