ZEE5 has released the trailer of its hit show "Bakaiti Season 2", with the new season set to stream in Hindi on ZEE5 from September 25, 2026.

The first season was popular for its relatable story of a middle class family, everyday quarrels, a mother's scolding, a father's tension, and sibling fights. After that success, the makers have brought a second season with what they call double the chaos.

The trailer suggests that about a year has passed since the first season. Following a sudden incident, Ajay, Alka and Aman move back to live at Katariya Kutir, meaning both Katariya families will now live under one roof. What starts as a temporary arrangement leads to a major fight, with differing opinions, hurt egos, old scores and daily bickering keeping the house in constant uproar.

Behind the comedy lies an emotional story. The family faces financial pressure, strained relationships, and Nanaji's declining health and fading memory. There is also talk of selling Katariya Kutir to build a new structure on the plot, turning the house itself into an emotional question of what a home really means. Sanjay Katariya bears the brunt of the chaos, having to find a way out of one crisis after another.

The show is produced by Dice Media and directed by Sameer Iqbal. Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chaddha, Tanya Sharma and Aditya Shukla lead the cast, with Devishi Madan, Rithvik Nambiar and Ashok Chavan also featuring.

The makers say the chaos is doubled this season because the family itself has doubled, with two families under one roof bringing double the fights and double the emotion. The show deals with money, sibling relationships, parental tension and generational differences alongside its comedy.

Director Sameer Iqbal said, "Bakaiti is a world very close to me, where no one says I Love You directly, but they will always ask if you have eaten. This mix of awkwardness and warmth is what makes the Katariya family special. In season two, we have worked more on the characters' emotions."

Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chaddha said they are glad to return to the show, adding that the love the first season received has raised the responsibility on the second. "Bakaiti Season 2" streams on ZEE5 from September 25.
