Toyota set to launch facelifts for Glanza and Innova Hycross
Toyota is preparing updated versions of the Glanza hatchback and Innova Hycross MPV, with new design, features and engine changes expected.
Toyota is preparing to update two of its popular cars in the Indian market. The company's two key models, the Glanza and the Innova Hycross, are expected to get facelifts soon. The Glanza facelift is likely to arrive in October 2026, while the updated Innova Hycross could be launched in early 2027.
First, the Glanza facelift. The Toyota Glanza is a premium hatchback that shares its platform and several mechanical parts with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The new Glanza is likely to be unveiled on October 14, 2026. This update could bring changes to the car's design as well as its engine and features.
According to reports, a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine could replace the existing 4-cylinder engine. Changes are also expected to the front grille and bumper. Features such as ADAS, ventilated front seats and a wireless phone charger are also expected.
Prices could change once the Glanza facelift arrives. The car, which competes with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz, could be made more attractive to customers through new features.
Now, the Innova Hycross facelift. It is expected to be launched in early 2027. Test mules of the model have already been spotted during testing in India, and patent filings have also given some indications of the upcoming design.
The new Hycross is expected to see a major change in its front profile. A bigger grille, slim headlamps, updated lighting and a new bumper could give the car a more modern look. This design is likely to be inspired by Toyota's newer models.
Updates are expected not just to the exterior design but also inside the cabin. Improvements are expected in the dashboard, seat upholstery and infotainment system. The car's 3-row seating and spacious cabin are expected to be retained. Without major changes to the petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains, the company is likely to focus more on design, features and interior.
