Three youths held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for stealing three two-wheelers, caught riding triple seat

The MIDC CIDCO police in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar have arrested three youths. They are accused of stealing two-wheelers so they could splurge money and have a good time with their female friends. The accused have been named as Sanjay Vinod Jadhavar, Sushant Mangesh Bhalerao and Yuvraj Vishnu Chavan. Police have seized three stolen two-wheelers from them.

According to police, a special squad of the MIDC CIDCO police was on patrol in the Palm Hotel area on September 22. Three men were seen riding triple seat on a moped. Their behaviour appeared suspicious to the police, so they were stopped and questioned. When the trio did not give satisfactory answers, police began a deeper investigation. Something startling about the moped then came to light.

Police said that during questioning the three confessed that the moped they were riding had been stolen from the Kranti Chowk area. When questioned more sternly, it emerged that they had stolen two more two-wheelers from the Town Centre area. In all, three stolen two-wheelers have been seized from the three accused.

The investigation has also revealed the method of theft. According to police, the accused would kick the handlebar hard to break the handle lock of a two-wheeler. Once the lock broke, they would hot-wire the vehicle, start it and flee with the stolen vehicle. Police said all this emerged during the investigation.

Police also said the reason for the thefts became clear after the accused were questioned. According to police, the investigation showed that they stole the two-wheelers with the intention of having a good time with their female friends and spending money on it. Police are now also checking whether the accused have a hand in any other vehicle theft case.
