Tamarind pulp face pack can help reduce sun tan, says skincare guide ahead of Navratri
With Navratri near and October heat setting in, a tamarind pulp face pack is suggested to reduce tan and dark spots.
With Ganpati Bappa's visit over, the Navratri festival is about to begin. The goddess is installed for nine days and dandiya events are held in many places in the evening. During the festival days, large numbers of women step out of their homes to shop.
Walking in the sun for hours darkens the skin. A build-up of dead skin on the face lowers skin quality and dark spots begin to appear. October heat is being felt everywhere and temperatures have risen. Protecting the skin is very important at such a time. If this is not done, skin problems increase and dark spots, pimples and tan get worse.
When the skin darkens, people often go for a cleanup and facial, and sometimes for expensive skin treatments. Various products and serums are also used to add glow. However, repeated wrong use of expensive skin care can leave the skin worse instead of brighter. Here is how to use tamarind pulp to reduce tan.
Tamarind is commonly added to a variety of dishes. Apart from adding taste to food, the sour fruit is also said to help restore the skin's lost glow. The natural beneficial compounds in tamarind reduce tan on the skin and add glow to the face.
To make the pack, soak a small piece of tamarind in water. Then take out the pulp and mix it well with aloe vera gel and 1 teaspoon of curd. Once the mixture is ready, wash the face with water and dry it. Then apply the mixture to the face and leave it on for 10 minutes.
When the pack dries, wet the hands and massage the face gently. This massage is said to help remove dead cells that have built up on the skin. Then wash the face with water.
If this tamarind face pack is applied two or three times a week, skin problems will ease and the face will look brighter. Honey and gram flour (besan) can also be added to the tamarind mixture to make the pack. This pack will help reduce excess oil on the skin. Tamarind is considered very useful for reducing tan.
