Nagpur and Pune airports see heavy passenger traffic during the festive season. The start of this direct flight service will bring passengers major relief from the hassle of connecting flights and long waits.
Star Air had discontinued its flights on this route about a year ago. The service is now being restarted in view of public demand and need. The new flight will offer time-saving and convenient travel to traders, students, working professionals and ordinary passengers who frequently travel between the two cities and those travelling home for festivals.
Meanwhile, some flight disruptions were also seen at Nagpur airport on Saturday. Several flights ran behind schedule. In addition, IndiGo flight number 6E-6573 from Nagpur to Delhi, which was scheduled to depart at 9.20 pm, was cancelled at the last minute due to a technical snag. The sudden cancellation of the flight caused considerable inconvenience to passengers and left them in a state of confusion.
