Speeding car kills one, injures three in Savner
A speeding car overturned after hitting a man near Nasir Dhaba in Savner, Nagpur, killing one person and injuring three others.
A tragic accident occurred around 12 noon on Sunday in the Savner police station area of Nagpur. Near Nasir Dhaba, a speeding car hit a man who had stopped by the roadside. On impact, the driver lost control of the car and it overturned. One person died in the accident while three others were injured.
According to initial information, the accident involved car number MP 04 TA 8406. It is being said that the car was being driven by Krishnadev Bhujwa (26), a resident of Bhopal. As the car reached near Nasir Dhaba, it hit the man standing by the roadside, after which the vehicle went out of control and overturned.
On learning of the accident, social worker Hitesh Bansod immediately informed highway assistant police inspector Shrikant Koli. The team then pulled the injured out and rushed them to the government hospital in Savner. Doctors at the hospital examined the victims and declared Vijay Bideshwar Singh (42), a resident of Milan Chowk in Khaparkheda, dead. The news brought mourning to the deceased's family.
Others were also injured in the accident. Vijay Sundarlal Daharwal, a resident of Chankapur in Khaparkheda, and Sandhya Pradeep Vedhi and Pradeep Vedhi, residents of Bhopal who were travelling in the car, were also injured. All the injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Savner for treatment. Further medical details about their condition are yet to come out.
On being informed of the incident, Savner police and highway police reached the spot and inspected the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident, the speed at which the car was travelling, and the circumstances in which the driver lost control of the vehicle. Further police action in the matter is under way.
