Shree Charani tops ICC women's T20 bowling rankings with record 817 rating points
India spinner Shree Charani has set an all-time high in the ICC T20 bowling rankings, passing Australia's Megan Schutt's 2018 mark of 806 points.
India women's team spinner Shree Charani has entered the record books of the rankings. The ICC released its new T20 rankings on Tuesday (September 29), and Charani is now the bowler with the most points ever.
Charani was already first among the bowlers. She now has 817 rating points. No one has earned so many points in these rankings before, and the Indian spinner has broken all earlier records to claim the all-time high rating.
With this, she has gone past Australia pace bowler Megan Schutt, who set the record in 2018 with 806 ranking points. Charani has been making key contributions for India match after match and tournament after tournament.
India recently won the eighth Women's Asia Cup and then took the gold medal at the Asian Games 2026. Charani emerged as a dependable bowler through this run. She took a total of 12 wickets in the Asia Cup, including 4 for 20 in the final against Sri Lanka.
At the Asian Games in Japan, Charani took 4 wickets for just 10 runs against hosts Japan, the best performance of her career. It came in the semi-final. In the final against Sri Lanka she took 2 wickets. This consistent form earned her the all-time high ranking.
India's Deepti Sharma remains second in the rankings with 754 rating points. She took 3 wickets against Sri Lanka in the Asian Games medal match, which helped her keep the second spot.
England's Sophie Ecclestone is third with 723 points, England's Charlie Dean fourth with 722 and England's Ian Bell fifth with 721.
