Indian stock markets are expected to open on a subdued note on September 30, as GIFT Nifty has indicated a negative start. Trading may begin at a slower pace today.

On Tuesday, September 29, the main Wall Street indices closed lower for a second straight session. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 131.59 points, or 0.3 per cent, to close at 51,349.92.

In today's trade, investors in the Indian market may watch shares such as KPI Green, Tata Steel, Inox Green, Urban Company, Poonawalla Fincorp, NLC India, Nalco, Punjab & Sind Bank, Ganesh Benzoplast and Power Mech Projects. It has been said these could offer a chance to make gains.

Vaishali Parekh, vice-president of technical research at Prabhudas Lilladher, has advised investors to buy three stocks for today's trade: Vedanta Power, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Infosys.

Sumeet Bagadia, executive director at Choice Broking, has advised that investors can buy five breakout stocks today. He has recommended shares of Gland Pharma, Astra Microwave, Meesho, Westlife and Ujjivan SFB.

Jay Thakkar, vice-president and head of derivatives and quant research at ICICI Securities, has asked investors to buy Alkem Laboratories futures, KFin Technologies futures and Amber Enterprises India futures.

Vishnukant Upadhyay of Master Capital Services and Hitesh Tailor of Choice Broking have recommended buying six stocks over the next one to two weeks: Mahindra & Mahindra, Engineers India, Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Apollo Micro Systems, Va Tech Wabag and Petronet LNG.
