Sanjay Raut hits back at Fadnavis and Omraje over 'Ghajini' jibe at Thackeray brothers
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said the BJP had lost its balance and claimed the Mumbai march was part of a nationwide movement against the Election Commission.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had commented on the march taken out in Mumbai yesterday by the Thackeray brothers and called both brothers "Ghajini". Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut has now responded. Speaking to the media, Raut cited the last phase of the British empire and said, "The British lost their minds, just as the BJP has lost its mind."
Raut targeted the BJP, the Election Commission and those in power. He claimed that lakhs of people took part in the Mumbai march. He also said the movement against the Election Commission is going on not only in Mumbai and Maharashtra but across the country.
Raut also commented on MP Omraje Nimbalkar. He said slogans of "traitor" were raised from the crowd of students. Citing this, Raut said, "Those who committed betrayal and dishonesty are having to face humiliation like this everywhere." He said, "Eknath Shinde may have given you Rs 5-50 crore, but he cannot give you respect. He can give you two police vehicles, one ahead and one behind, but you have lost your standing and honour."
Raut also referred to a statement by Justice Ujjal Bhuyan. According to him, "Justice Ujjal Bhuyan has stated a clear view on the Election Commission. He has said that if crores of citizens have lost the right to vote, it is wrong." Raut then said, "Now let Devendra Fadnavis call Bhuyan 'Ghajini' too."
On Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Raut said, "Never mind a march against Gyanesh Kumar, much more should happen now." He also commented on Amit Shah and Seema Khanna, claiming, "Amit Shah is underground, Seema Khanna is underground."
Raut made a prediction about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, "The last phase of Modi's political career has begun. Down the line, Modi will not remain in power."
About Fadnavis, Raut claimed, "Fadnavis is in the pipeline for the topmost post at the Centre at present. But he will have to get out of that pipeline. His politics is on the decline." Raut also said the response the Garjana Morcha received from Mumbaikars and the people of Maharashtra reflects the national mood. According to him, the show of strength seen on Mumbai's streets is also happening on the streets of Delhi.
