Samsung Galaxy S26 price in India may rise by up to Rs 12,000
A tipster claims Samsung is set to raise Galaxy S26 prices in India by up to Rs 12,000, alongside possible hikes for other flagship and foldable models.
Samsung is reportedly preparing to raise the price of the Galaxy S26 in India. A tipster has claimed that both storage variants currently available could become costlier by up to Rs 12,000. The reported hike comes amid speculation that prices of other Samsung flagship and foldable models could also rise.
Prices of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are also expected to increase. However, none of these changes has been confirmed, and Samsung has not officially announced any of the alleged price hikes.
Tipster Sanju Chaudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu) made the claim in a post. According to them, the price of the 12GB plus 256GB variant could rise from Rs 87,999 to Rs 99,999, while the 12GB plus 512GB model could go up from Rs 1,07,999 to Rs 1,19,999.
On Samsung's official website, the Galaxy S26 12GB plus 256GB variant is currently priced at Rs 79,999, while the 12GB plus 512GB model is priced at Rs 99,999. At the time of writing, these alleged new prices had not yet appeared on the company's website.
It has also recently been claimed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could become more expensive in India. However, the new prices and the date they would take effect have not yet been announced. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are also said to be getting price increases, though this has not been confirmed either.
The same tipster said the price of the Galaxy S26 Ultra could soon match that of the iPhone 18 Pro in the country. Apple's new Pro model starts at Rs 1,64,900 in India, while Samsung's flagship model currently has a starting MRP of Rs 1,39,999.
Meanwhile, Samsung has announced a new 24-month payment option called "Galaxy Forever" for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 8 in India. Under this scheme, customers pay 60 percent of the phone's price through EMI, while the remaining 40 percent is deferred to the end of the term. This brings down the monthly EMI for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra from Rs 9,417 to Rs 6,997, and for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 from Rs 8,584 to Rs 6,416.
