Salman Khan's 'Matrubhumi' trailer may launch in Mumbai this Friday

Fans of Salman Khan's upcoming film 'Matrubhumi' are now waiting for its trailer. It is reported that the trailer may be launched in Mumbai this Friday. For several days, there had been talk of the film's release date being pushed back for various reasons. The trailer news has added to fans' anticipation.

It is said that the film's makers are preparing a large trailer launch event in Mumbai to take advantage of the festive season, and the event is being planned on a big scale. However, the production house has not so far officially announced the date and time of the trailer launch. Fans are therefore watching to see when the event, with Salman Khan present, will finally take place.

The film was first announced in July 2025 under the title 'Battle of Galwan'. Its pre-production work had begun as early as 2024. In March 2026, the makers changed the title to 'Matrubhumi'. The story is based on the clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley on June 15, 2020, an incident that drew the attention of the whole country.

In the film, Salman Khan plays a brave Indian Army officer. His character is said to be inspired by the bravery of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh. The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the Salman Khan Films banner. Chitrangada Singh and Prashant Tamang will also appear in key roles alongside Salman.

There had been talk of questions being raised over the film's portrayal of China. It was subsequently reported that the makers took note of this, made necessary changes to the story and reshot some scenes. The film has recently received an NOC from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. However, the official certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is yet to be received.

A tentative release date of November 13 is currently being discussed. The makers, however, have not yet officially announced the release. It is believed that if the trailer is launched on Friday, the film's firm release date may also be revealed at the same event. Fans are now waiting for the trailer of this patriotic film and want to know what it will show them.
