Royal Enfield recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in September 2026, selling 1,33,958 motorcycles in a single month. In September last year the figure was 1,24,328 units, an 8% increase in total sales. Both the domestic market and exports grew, taking the company to this new high.

In India, Royal Enfield sold 1,21,326 motorcycles in September, against 1,13,573 units in the same month last year, a 7% rise in domestic sales. Exports grew faster. The company shipped 12,632 bikes abroad, 17% more than a year ago.

Sales were also strong in the first six months of FY2027. Between April and September 2026, the company sold a total of 7,09,096 motorcycles, against 5,91,903 units in the same period of the previous financial year, a 20% increase. Domestic sales made up the bulk of this, reaching 6,42,021 units, up 23%.

However, exports fell 5% over the same period. Between April and September, the company exported 67,075 motorcycles. Even so, strong performance in the domestic market kept overall sales growth healthy.

In September the company also launched the Himalayan 440. The adventure motorcycle, unveiled at the Himalayan Basecamp event in Ladakh, has a 443 cc long-stroke engine and a six-speed gearbox. The response after the launch exceeded the company's expectations.

As a result, bookings for the Himalayan 440 are full for about six months, and new bookings have been paused for now. They will reopen once additional production capacity is available.

The company also introduced the Signature White variant of the Classic 350 in September. Its features include a premium brown touring seat, assist and slipper clutch, adjustable clutch and brake levers, USB Type-C fast charging and a Tripper Pod.

Meanwhile, Flying Flea, Royal Enfield's electric brand, has entered Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin and London in Europe. Deliveries are planned to begin from October 2026. Alongside its petrol motorcycles, the company will thus expand in the electric segment as well.
